Croeso / Welcome to Waldo Williams Primary School!

Located on Scarrowscant Lane, our school proudly serves the western side of Haverfordwest. We are a thriving, forward-thinking primary school dedicated to ensuring that every child and family feels safe, secure, and happy throughout their time with us. Currently, we have approximately 220 pupils on roll spread across eight classes plus an additional Learning Resource Centre.

We believe that a warm, welcoming environment is essential for children to learn, develop, and achieve their full potential. Waldo Williams is a friendly, nurturing school where you can be confident that we will provide the best education for your child.

Each of our pupils is seen as a unique individual and a valued member of our school community. Pupil voice is central to everything we do, and we work tirelessly to foster strong partnerships with parents. Our school’s close ties with the community are one of our greatest strengths, and we are committed to maintaining these connections.

In 2022, our school underwent a complete refurbishment, resulting in a modern, stimulating learning environment designed to foster independence in all our pupils. We strive to develop confident, enthusiastic, and empathetic learners who possess strong social skills and a keen sense of responsibility. Good manners, thoughtfulness, and the development of life skills—such as making friends, using technology, solving problems, and exercising good judgment—are key focuses of our school.

As a proud Rights Respecting School, our values closely align with pupil rights, and they guide much of our work. With relatively small class sizes and generous staffing, we are able to offer individual attention while maintaining a lively, outward-looking school community.
