OUR LEARNING JOURNEY

THEMA BRESENNOL
CURRENT TOPIC
Our theme is ‘Our Cool School’. We are looking at our new school in a lot of detail. We will be exploring how It was built, what materials were used and why? We will be looking at different schools locally and comparing them – signage/architecture and creating some art work and junk models of schools.
We have discussed that school has a sense of belonging – to a class, families and friends, a team and a community. Will this change when we move to a new school? We are going to delve into schools historically and see if children were taught the same many years ago. What was used in a classroom? Uniforms? Rules? Resources? What was the same/different. We are hoping to bring in some historical classroom artefacts to examine and also book a Victorian school workshop, either a day trip or virtual experience. Children can reflect on their experience
